From Physorg.com, has nothing to do with unicorns per se. It looks at the mathematical model of how flowers form during branching. Using this model, the authors were able to show that while there are many ways that flowers can form during branching, only a few evolved naturally.

Excuse the title. The Science at NASA has been looking at the problem of micro-organisms in enclosed environments, such as the space station, since MIR. It not only involves organisms that cause illness, but organism that have the potential of causing mechanical failures. Also it looks at some new technology that I’ve been intrigued with, the lab-on-a-chip idea.

From Forbes.com, In China, they have compared a protein called neuropsin, between humans and other primates. They discovered that it split from other primates about 5 million years ago and is involved in memory and learning.
To think that before Humans were Homo that a major evolutionary change occured that would lead to modern humans. That memories and teaching the young would start the Stone Age. Makes one wonder what were the changes that lead to art.
